How does the free trial work?

You can start a 14-day free trial of Hemingway Editor Plus to try out the AI capabilities. You get up 200 AI sentence corrections to use during your trial. Once you have run out of time or AI sentences, your trial will end.

There is no credit card required and the trial does not automatically convert to a paid account. Once your trial ends, you revert back to the free version unless you upgrade to the paid version.

How do the AI sentences work?

Hemingway Editor Plus comes with an allotment of “AI sentences” each month. Each time you use the AI to generate a rewrite of one of your sentences, you use up one of these credits.

Hemingway Editor Plus has two ways of using AI sentence credits: rewriting a single sentence and rewriting multiple sentences at a time. If you click on a sentence that is highlighted red, yellow, or green and use the AI to generate a suggested fix, that's one credit.

Similarly, you can highlight multiple sentences and fix them all at once. If you highlight a paragraph with four sentences and use one of the AI tools in the toolbar, you'll use four sentence credits.

The AI sentence credits are not used for grammar fixes, which are unlimited.
